Weekly Prayer (Dec 28th, 2020): Please pray for a safe and grace-covered trip for me and other ministry workers/missionaries who are trying to enter Japan before a new travel ban is imposed.
Due to the new Covid strain from the U.K. that has now entered Japan and from the overall increase in cases in the country, Japan is closing its borders to all new arrivals (people in my situation) from the USA (and other level 3 category countries/regions on Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affair's travel warning of infectious diseases page) as of Jan 4th and at least until Jan 31st, 2021.
I was planning to leave for Tokyo on January 13th, but I have now rebooked my flight for December 31st, 2020.
