Let us pray for God to stir in Japanese hearts during this holiday week in Japan and lead more and more Japanese people to believe on Christ Jesus for salvation (Acts 16:31).
In Acts 16, in the famous account of the Philippian jailer's conversion, the jailer asks Paul and Silas, "what must I do to be saved?" Paul answers, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." The jailer was in a desperate situation, and this led him to ask Paul and Silas this crucial question.
Let us pray this week specifically, wherever Japanese people find themselves, for the Lord to work in their hearts to prepare them to hear the Gospel or even to believe in Christ Jesus for salvation.
We have been in a holiday period called Golden Week here in Japan, and as the official golden week draws to a close (on May 5th in Japan), let us pray for the Lord to give more and more Japanese people a hunger and thirst for Christ. Pray that they will become very aware of their sin and their need for a Savior.
Let us never cease praying, knowing and rejoicing that our God hears us and will answer us according to his glorious will. In Jesus's Name, Amen.
