Weekly Prayer (Nov 15th, 2021): Pray for God's mercy and guidance as churches in Japan pray about and plan/prepare for Christmas services, outreach events, service opportunities, etc, and that God will draw a great many of his Japanese sheep into his sheepfold this Christmas.

We are still a few weeks away from Christmas, but a lot of planning and preparation for Christmas services and events is already underway. Let us pray that this year, as more churches in Japan will most likely be able to gather together in person (compared to last year) this Christmas, that God will clearly direct his saints in Japan as they prepare to enter into this advent season.

Let us pray for the church in Japan, while keeping her gaze always fixed on the Lord Jesus, to have a heart like the shepherds from Luke 2, who, after having found the Christ child just as the angel had told them, "made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child" (Luke 2:17). Let us pray Christians in Japan to be bold and eager to share the good news of the coming of Christ with all around them. Let us also pray they will invite many to join them for a Christmas service or even to a Bible study on the Christmas story.

Above all, let us ask the Lord to glorify His Name as hope of Christ's birth is made known in Japan this year. Let us pray for many new births, for many souls to join in the angels' cry to give glory to God in the highest, on Japanese soil in 2021.
