Weekly Prayer (Nov 22nd, 2021): Let us pray for missionaries who are applying and seeking to enter Japan to be granted entrance in the next few weeks and months.
This has been an ongoing prayer during this time of Covid, for Japan to begin to issue new visas so that the great number of missionaries and Christian workers waiting to enter Japan can finally enter. Praise the Lord that missionaries are finally able to apply again for visas, but the process is more complicated than before and it looks as if there may be a long road ahead for those who are in this process of applying for new entry.
So, in the midst of this continued season of waiting for so many of our brothers and sisters, let us join together this week and pray for their applications to be accepted and for them to be able to come to the harvest field the Lord has called them to by late 2021 and/or early 2022. And let us pray for these saints not to grow weary but to continue to look to the Lord and find their hope and strength in his steadfast love that endures forever (Psalm 136).
Finally, let us pray, too, for those who are in the midst of preparing to come to Japan, who are actively inviting people to partner with them through prayer and financial giving. Let us pray for the Lord to raise up a great many people to join them in their labor in Japan through prayer and giving, that the Great Commission of our King Jesus may continued to be fulfilled.
Heavenly Father, we praise you for hearing us always, and we pray for your will to be done as you continue to make known your gospel of grace among the Japanese people. In your beloved Son's Name we pray, Amen.
