Weekly Prayer (Oct 11th): Pray for more and more Japanese people to have the opportunity to hear the gospel explained in a way that makes sense to them.

Let us pray specifically that the gospel will be preached, shared, sung, texted, etc this week to a great many Japanese people, and let us pray that it will be shared in a way that is easy for them to understand. We know that only God opens the eyes of the heart to be able to believe on the Lord Jesus for salvation, and let us pray without ceasing for his continued eye opening work among the Japanese.

And as the Gospel continues to go forth, let us pray for those who are sharing the good news (Lay Christians, pastors, missionaries, etc.) to avoid "Christianese," that is, to explain certain terms/ideas in easy to understand ways. Let us pray for patience and kindness, too, for those who will have the opportunity to share the gospel this week, that the love of Christ will shine through them.

Finally, please pray for those for whom Japanese is a second language, that God will grant his grace as these laborers seek to share the gospel in the Japanese people's heart language. Please pray for language not to be a barrier to the gospel reaching the ends of Japan and, indeed, of the entire earth.

Heavenly Father, please continue to draw your lost sheep home into your kingdom, according to your glorious will. In Jesus's merciful Name, we pray. Amen.
