Weekly Prayer (Sept 6th, 2021): Pray for believers in the workplace in Japan--and Japanese believers overseas--that their light will shine before their bosses, co-workers, and all they encounter (Matt 5:16).
It can be so challenging in Japan to be open about your faith in the workplace, so let us pray specifically for courage and strength from above for our Japanese brothers and sisters in Christ. Let us pray for them to honor Christ in their hearts as holy, and that they will always be "prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks [them] for a reason for the hope that is in [them]" (1 Pet. 3:15).
Finally, let us pray for unbelievers in these workplaces to have a curiosity about the things of Christ. Let us pray for the Holy Spirit's work in their heart, that He will open their hearts to pay attention to the evidence of the new birth in their Christian co-workers.
Let us ask all these things in Jesus's Holy Name. Amen.
